"FROST/NIXON" ... Having lived through the Watergate Hearings and Nixon's resignation,
I can guarantee you that this movie captures the power of those politically charged days. Michael Sheen gives a fine but overly
toothy performance as David Frost, a lightweight British interviewer who finally rises to the challenge of capturing the closed-in
Nixon at the only moment when his vulnerability and regret fill the screen with remorse for what he had done. This was a rare
moment in American history, and Frank Langella nails Nixon down to a T.
Langella
is one of our finest actors as well as being one of our most under-appreciated actors. He deserves the Best Actor Oscar even
though everyone says that Mickey Rourke will win. (A/SEE IT!)
